Membership and Posts

• This group is for moms only and is private.
• Memberships can be withheld or revoked at our discretion and with or without an explanation.
• We reserve the right to remove any post or revoke any membership at any time, as we see fit, to protect the integrity and safety of the group.
• Posts requesting votes are prohibited. Voting posts may be removed at our discretion.
• Questions or comments about the group should be directed to Admin via PM. Public posts about these topics may be considered abuse and result in removal.
• Posts asking Admin to PM/DM will be deleted. Please PM/DM Admin directly.

Participation and Conduct

• • This group is founded on love, trust, and support for moms, by moms. While disagreements may occur, drama, negativity, bashing, harassment, or abuse of any kind will not be tolerated and will result in immediate removal from the group. This includes any post that bashes, insults, or targets another person or business.

• • MOMnation primarily operates within private Facebook groups. However, MOMnation shows and podcasts may review content and can occasionally share anonymous versions of posts publicly (e.g., on YouTube, Spotify).
  • All MOMnation members are encouraged to use Facebook’s “Anonymous” posting function when sharing intimate/personal info. 
  • By participating in this group, you acknowledge that MOMnation is not liable for how your publicly shared content is interpreted or discussed outside the group, especially if it was not posted anonymously.
  • Members are responsible for their own posts. MOMnation is not liable for any content shared by members, including screenshots shared outside the group. Sharing screenshots outside the group is strictly forbidden and will result in removal. If this occurs, please use the Anonymous Member & Group Feedback form to report it to Admin with proof.

Giveaway Winners

• • By being a member of MOMnation, winners of our giveaways grant us permission to announce their win both within the group and externally on platforms such as YouTube, newsletters, or social media outlets. If you would prefer not to have your win shared outside the group, please let us know before completing the winner’s form to coordinate prize delivery. Your privacy is important to us, and we will always respect your preferences regarding external announcements.
  • Support the businesses of fellow MOMs. Transactions between members are solely the responsibility of the parties involved. MOMnation is not responsible for the quality or delivery of products or services. However, we do want to know about issues and encourage them to be reported to Admin for record or action needed. 
  • Depending on which Facebook group you are in, there is an annual ‘MOM’s Fave’s’ list and there is a list of exclusive discounts offered to our group members by our group members in the ‘Featured’ section. You can also look at the ‘Guides’ section of the group.

Referral Authenticity and Guidelines:

1. 1. Posting Recommendations: Please disclose if you are part of a networking or leads group. Members of the bizMOM Networking group are encouraged to share their own business especially if they/the referring business are or have been a MOMnation Sponsor or are a MOMnation Marketplace Vendor.
   2. Experienced-Based Referrals: We value genuine, experienced-based referrals. When posting/commenting a referral, please ensure you have personally used the business and can provide a first-hand account of your experience.
   3. Red Flags for Unnatural Referrals: An unnatural amount of referrals for any one business will be seen as a red flag. If such referrals are not experience-based, admins reserve the right to remove these comments to maintain the authenticity of our community.
   4. Escalation Process: Removing comments will be our first course of action. If members create issues, protest, or repeatedly violate this guideline, they may be removed from the group as a last resort.

Social Media Behavior

• • Share information responsibly. 
  • Do not repost threatening messages, spread rumors, share unverified information.
  • Do not post anything that bashes individuals or businesses. 
  • Only share news or alerts validated by law enforcement. 
  • Contact Admin with any questions or issues.

Events

• • Members are encouraged to share existing Facebook events with the group for Admin review. Simply go to the Facebook Event and in the top right corner select the arrow icon to share and then select group and share to the group(s) of your choice. 
  • Alternatively, if you wish to create and add a new event to the group’s “Events” tab/calendar, please complete the Hosting Events In MOMnation® form for Admin review. 
  • All events must be approved by an Admin before being posted. Failure to obtain approval may result in the event being removed from the group.
  • Event/host should be clear about the nature of the event. No bait and switches! 
  • No ticket sales for outside events.

External Groups, Donations and Resources

• • Posting about outside groups is not allowed. If you promote another group your post or comment may be deleted and it could result in a removal from a MOMnation group.
  • Exceptions may be made for posts of groups that are resources for specific needs/questions/posts but this group does not allow posting of outside groups solely for the purpose of growing other groups.
  • Requests for donations, fundraisers, or sponsorships are not allowed. Please do not post any “go fund me” or donation type posts or it may result in a REMOVAL from the group. 
  • Foreign Exchange Student Placements: For the safety and consistency of our community, we do not allow posts related to foreign exchange student placements or host family requests. This decision is rooted in past instances and aligns with our group’s commitment to carefully vetting opportunities that may involve financial transactions or specific hosting requirements. We encourage members seeking support for these kinds of placements to explore dedicated exchange programs or other local resources. Thank you for your understanding!
  • If you are in a hardship see our Community Resources page and let Admin know if further resources are needed.

Codes and Affiliate Links 

• • Reach out to Admin if you have Promo Codes or Affiliate links you want MOMnation to market in the groups and on our website under our AFFILIATE LINKS & PROMO CODES.
  • DO NOT POST a Pogo Pass code unless it’s our group’s code:  MOMNATION.
    It will be removed along with the member that posted any other code. This is the same with Amazon affiliate links.

Sale Items & Freebie Offers

• • The #Yardsale post for sharing any home related items that you have for sale or are offering for free. Any other posts may be deleted and may result in a removal from the group.
  • Books for sale by owner/Author can be shared in not only the ‘Yard Sale’ #Yardsale posting but also in our ‘Savings & Promotions’ posting #SAVINGSANDPROMOS. If you want to share your book in a stand alone posting please see the Business Posting section below. 
  • Our ‘Savings & Promotions’ posting #SAVINGSANDPROMOS is also the designated place in each of the groups for you to share your business’s current discounts, savings, and promos.
  • Sharing opened or partially used food items (like baby formula) is not allowed due to safety concerns. We encourage members to donate unopened, sealed items to local food banks or shelters, which have proper protocols to ensure the safety of donated goods. You can find a list of local food banks and shelters on our Community Resources  page. 
  • Home listings and pet rehoming are not allowed unless approved by Admin.
